About the brand.
Revivall Clothing is a sustainable fashion brand started in 2008 by Laura. The brand is based in Bozeman, Montana. Revivall’s goal is to “inspire a simpler way of life through responsibly sourced, folk-inspired goods.”
My role at Revivall
For the 7 weeks I was at Revivall Clothing, I worked as an in house seamstress. My daily routine consisted of cutting patterns and prepping them to be sewn or sent out to our other seamstresses, sewing garments made in house, and putting finishing touches on garments made out of house (buttons, buttonholes, etc.). Additionally, I helped with CAD work like designing signs for the store. I helped with inventory, and created a template for future use.
Main Project
The main project I worked on while at Revivall was the creation of the underbust vest. For this assignment, I started with an old pattern of Laura’s and used my flat pattern knowledge to create a usable pattern. I then graded the pattern from S-XL. After a few samples and different attempts, we landed on a fully lined underbust vest with a cinch buckle in the back. From there, I created an order of operations and prototype of the vest for us to use when producing it. I then cut the vest based on size, and began the production.
